France Miniature

Five hectares laid out in the shape of a map of France, 117 monuments reproduced on a 1:30 scale, 2,000 models, 60,000 figures, 20,000 dwarf trees, and 4 kilometers of railroad tracks brought to life by 15 model trains: France Miniature, open since 1991 in Élancourt in the Yvelines department, is Europe’s largest miniature park dedicated to French heritage.

The route follows the country’s geography. In just a few hundred meters, it takes you from Mont-Saint-Michel to the Calanques of Marseille, from the Château de Chambord to the old town of Carcassonne, and from the Millau Viaduct to the rooftops of Alsace. Each region has its own space, and the vegetation is scaled to match the monuments: dwarf trees grow, ponds represent the seas and oceans, and architectural details are carefully recreated. Scattered throughout the site, 25 attractions and interactive experiences enhance the visit.

To celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2026, the park is offering a special program throughout the season, including behind-the-scenes tours and workshops that show how the models are built and maintained. The park is entirely outdoors: a visit on a sunny day is very different from one on a rainy day.
